Ride of the Falling Leaves 2021

Autumn: The mornings may be darker, the weather a little cooler, and the blasts of sunshine breaking between the clouds become a little less regular, but there are plenty of reasons Hub Velo CC members love cycling during September.

It’s a beautiful time of year to get out on your bike. Zooming along the country roads, watching the green leaves starting to fall, turning into shades of orange and yellow, present some of the best places to watch the seasons change. Autumn also signals the time of year for our annual Ride of the Falling Leaves.

Inspired by the Italian monument, the Giro di Lombordia, this year’s ride will be held on September 26 and will cater for both gravel and road enthusiasts.

Bolstered by a thriving membership, it promises to be a highlight of the season. We hope to see 50+ riders join us - from existing club members, friends of Hub Velo CC, and non-members curious to learn about our club - on one of our coffee-inspired routes to help make this epic ride accessible
for all riders.

Setting off and returning to Hub Velo in Clapton for cake and coffee, the mixed terrain routes have everything from singletracks and dirt trails to tarmac and gravel, and will include some of the club’s favourite country roads, climbs, and sprint segments.

It’s our last special ride before winter properly begins, and is a fantastic chance to meet club members, and sign-up to join Hub Velo CC for an introductory ride.
